Price installation and count sheets separately
Installed Colorbond cost is measured by roof area. Sheet-only supply is often quoted by lineal metre at a stated cover width. This calculator keeps those two views separate so a sheet price does not accidentally get added on top of an installed package that already includes the steel. The roof area controls the covering estimate; eave run, ordered sheet length and equal plane count control the takeoff.
For each rectangular plane, divide the eave run by the profile's nominal cover width and round up to a whole sheet. Multiply by the number of identical planes. Ordered lineal metres equal that sheet count times the ordered sheet length. Hips, valleys, unequal planes, penetrations and end laps need a supplier's detailed layout; the simple takeoff contains no arbitrary waste percentage.
Example: 200 m² of corrugated Colorbond
The corrugated installed net triple is A$32.27 / A$47.39 / A$62.50 per m². The midpoint allowance is 200 × A$47.39 = A$9,478. GST of A$947.80 brings the total to A$10,425.80, displayed as approximately A$10,400. Old roof removal and other extra quotes are zero, so this is an installation budget rather than a complete strip-and-replace budget.
The default takeoff uses two equal planes, each with a 10 m eave run and 10 m ordered sheet length. At 0.762 m cover, ceil(10 ÷ 0.762) is 14 sheets per plane. The takeoff therefore shows 28 sheets and 280 lineal metres. Their nominal ordered coverage is 213.36 m²; rounding the sheet count explains why it exceeds the separate 200 m² cost area.

The model combines the profile-specific partner quote with hipages' general installed Colorbond range of A$53–97/m². That second guide is not a separate observation for each profile. Tax uncertainty is included in the net price envelope.
Enter a supplier's before-GST price per lineal metre to see sheet-only supply. It is displayed separately and is not added to the installed total. Exposed fixing count is shown only when you enter a specified count per sheet. A concealed-fixing system needs its own clip schedule; a generic screw count cannot stand in for wind design or support spacing.

A coastal Ultra upgrade needs a confirmed quote, and Zincalume should use its own confirmed installed rate rather than the standard Colorbond allowance.
