What we make
Calculate My Home is a set of free tools for the part of a project that happens before the first cut: how many yards of concrete, how many risers, which joist size spans the deck, how many sheets, bags, boxes and gallons. Each one takes your measurements in feet and inches or in meters and gives you a material list you can take to the store.
How we work
Every calculator is written and checked by our editorial team. Formulas come from building codes (the IRC, the NEC), standards bodies, manufacturer data sheets and government and university guidance. We link those sources on the page, show the math with your own numbers, and date every review. The full process is on how we calculate.
